Default 7.3l misses at high rpm

I have a 97 f250 7.3 that has an intermittent miss around 2000 to 2500 rpm or higher no codes and I just replaced the cam position sensor

Does the misfire get worse, or does the throttle go ‘flat’ when more pedal is applied? More pronounced on steep grades etc. Or just a general misfire through the higher RPM ?
