Thanks for all the input and I had someone look at the carb and it was to high of cfm for the truck so I traded for a lower cfm carb then I put a carb kit in it then slapped it on the truck and it ran great with no adjustments got it up to 65mph the other day never had a lack of power and it never back fired so I. Guess the carb gaskets dried up or somethin but thanks for all the help
