Question 93 Ford F-250 transfer case issues

I just need a little help on figuring out if I need to replace my transfer case or if there's an easy fix I have checked the linkage for the shifter and it does not seem to be bent or damaged but when I go into for high it doesn't engage all the way or a walk in I should say it will randomly seem like it just goes into neutral completely but the shifter doesn't move no light for four wheel high either but if I go into four wheel low I'll get the 4 x 4 light so if anybody has an opinion please let me know

The shift motor on the transfer case sounds like it went on vacation. Not a big deal to replace.
