Default 94 f250 4x4 with 5.8 just died

please help. my 94 ford f250 4x4 with the 5.8 just shut off. i was at the gas station filled up the truck it started then just died. engine will spin but wont crank. i did get a burnt electrical smell and a small amount of smoke from the dash. no power to either fuel pump, inertia switch, etc. tried switching relays but still nothing. everything in dash still operates fine. has anyone else had a similar problem? if so please direct me in a direction. think it might have got the ignition module too,but not sure yet. really need my truck.all fuses in panel checked and are not blown. i am out of ideas.

Do you know how to use the diagnostic plug to send power to the fuel pump?

Did you check all the fuses? Any under the hood? After jumping the inertia switch did the vehicle start?

No I havent. I have tried to find a ecm just not having any luck. F series trucks with a 5.8 and an automatic are not easy to find around here. Also I was not looking forward to replacing it.
