Default 94 F250 volt meter reading high/high idle

My 94 5.8l F250 4x4 the volt meter is reading high and occasionally the check engine light comes on and the idle speed jumps up I checked the codes koeo and got 122,654,522 I'm not sure the issue the code 122 referred to the tps but I'm wondering if my problems are stemming from the volt meter reading high I would appreciate any advice or a point into the right direction

Can you measure the actual voltage at the battery terminals when the engine is running?

12.73 engine off 14.23 engine on
and now the volt meter in the dash has quit working or at least is bottomed out below 8 and the fuel gauge has stopped above qtr there not that much gas in it also when driving it the throttle has quit responding after a qtr pedal and it shifts into high gear then drops back into low gear and throttles up over and over until it reaches a speed fast enough for high gear

14 volts is about right. I wonder if you are having a gauge malfunction.
