Ambient Air Temperature Sensor
I have a 2013 F-250 Super Duty with the 6.2L flex engine. Dash temperature reads -40 degrees most of the time so i am looking to replace the ambient air temperature sensor which came up as an error code during testing. I cannot seem to find it. It is not in front of the radiator and not in the passenger mirror. Any help would be appreciated.
Do you have manual or automatic HVAC? Do you have power mirrors? Has your mirror assembly been replaced with aftermarket?.
Ive seen a few vehicles where a aftermarket mirror assembly is way cheaper then OEM and thats cause it doesnt have a place for the AAT sensor.

Yeah if you've got manuel AC and manual mirrors then you do not have a AAT, I would guess they didn't want to bother wiring manual mirrors to have a sensor. In your case the AAT is calculated using other sensors, I would look at the live data for other temp/baro/MAP/IAT sensors and see if any don't seem right.
