I'm having a problem with the alarm not canceling when unlocking the door with the remote. The door unlocks but when you open it the alarm goes off. Also when driving at night with the headlight switch in the automatic position the will go out for a few seconds and then come on again. If I do all the above actions manually every thing is ok. Any ideas?

 

My first question would be is it a stock alarm or an aftermarket alarm system? Sometimes with the stock alarm systems it's as simple as taking it back to the dealer for a Reflash or it's a simple connector issue. With the aftermarket systems, alot of the guys that install those are hacks and they don't take care in the way they wired the connectors together. After time they start to corrode, but also a lot of aftermarket alarms have a kill switch for the system usually placed somewhere under the leftside dash so it can be turned off because of malfunctions.
