Default BLIS with an RV Trailer

Just want to check....am I reading the manual correctly? Just setting up my new 2023 F350 Lariat and the BLIS system will not operate because I have a 36ft Fifth Wheel? Can that be right? I switched over from a GMC 2500 Denali that had BLIS and a very nice camera system....when towing and a directional was engaged, that applicable mirror turned on a camera view showing a view of what was on that side of the vehicle. AND the BLIS system indicated if anything was there. And the Ford BLIS is now disabled because the sensors or in the taillights and can't "see" around my trailer? Is that correct? If so, Ford is waaaay behind on their technology package. I did set up the trailer in the Features menu and used my trailer length and width. I'm hoping I'm just doing something wrong. Any help greatly appreciated
