Default Climate control issue.

This is regarding a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500. I know I should be on a Dodge forum but maybe some here can help.

My questions are do I need to take the entire dash out to fix a cold/heat blend door? Does the blend door have it's own motor?
The problem is that it puts out heat on the passenger side vents, but cool on the driver's side including defrost and floor. The truck does not have dual climate control.

Anyone?
