During disassembly of my 06 V10 6.8 30 valve engine ,there was no rear crankshaft oil Slinger noted ... This part in my opinion is more like a dust shield to the rear main seal ..rather than a slinger !!
Never the less only two of my manuals show its existence could someone tell me if Ford Discontinued it as part of the reassembly??? I am finding little information about this part other than the special $97 to reinstall it ... Few Ford OEM parts suppliers even list it ??? None on eBay ....
