I have recently purchased and am rebuilding a 1985 Shasta Motor home. This particular model comes on a F350 chassis with a 351Windsor Engine.
The engine to this point has been farily simple to find parts for and rebuild but now I am stuck. With the engine set back in the mounts and new engine parts being bolted back on I have come to the engine oil dipstick and tube. The old one was a mangled mess and needs to be replaced. The problem is that this particular model has a tube the screws, via a nut at the bottom, into the driver side of the oil pan. I cannot seem to find one. I have tried all the local parts stores, summitt racing and other sites. I really would rather put new parts on so I am trying to stay away from wrecking yards. Any idea on where I might find this particular type of dipstick tube?
