Default f-350 powerstroke question

What is the stock boost for these trucks? My brother just bought an 02, and it has a set of gauges on the A-piller. Has boost and EGT's. He for some reason thinks It might be now, or may have before been "chipped". I'm sure the boost would be higher than stock if chipped?
