F250 emblem confusion??

F250 emblem confusion??
This is a 1976 f250 ranger. But i cant find ANY pictures online that show the \"f250" emblem where it is shown here. Any idea why that is? (Its my girlfriends dads old truck that im going to rebuild)

Welcome to the site.
Ford never put the badging there, it would have been to the rear of the fender. Later models it went up on the cowl corners.
Probably just a preference/mod..
