Default F250 tranny issue

Need a bit of advice here.

92 F250 5.8 4X
Cutting wood and backing a trailer up a steep grade, the transmission overheated and puked out a gob of boiling fluid. Made it home (About 4 miles) with a lack of fluid.
Tore the tranny out and replaced the torque converter seal and it seems to be running but starting out in drive feels like I am starting out in high gear. The truck responds if I drop it into low, but in drive its like the tranny is stuck in high gear. Once up to speed, it appears that OD is not working. The OD off switch doesnt cause a shift. Reverse works as good as new.

Any thought on where to start? Is there any more info I need to post?

Thanks
Dave

Welcome to the site Dave..

Was shifting fine, all ranges, prior to the pump/hub seal?

Was the TCC nylon sealing ring in place on the support when the convertor went back in?
