f250 vs. f350

f250 vs. f350
I have an 88 f250 extra cab/long bed with 7.3 auto. I want some more carrying capacity. I'm considering moving up to an 88 or 89 f350. Could I put heavier springs into my f250, or is the f350's running gear stronger as well?
