Hello, Replacing a few broken plastic parts under hood of my 6.0L 2005 F350. Have a "shield number" 3z3c14A099AA that I know is correct but went to the dealer today to find couple other parts and they had some confusing diagrams one showing this part I mentioned then another part above it that looks from the diagram (attached) to install just above my part and then attaches via push pins 389358-S to my part then to metal part of truck. That 389358-S doesn't look to be long enough to negotiate the distance to the metal body and the dealer lists them as 60mm long (this would work) and after market via Ebay and others show it to be much shorter closer to 22mm.
That other part is 3z3c14A099AB or B as the dealer diagram shows (diagram) . I did not have this on my truck when I removed the 3z3c14A099AA. Has anyone seen this part before? I can't help but believe its listed at the dealer because it goes onto another engine version and the drawings don't call that out. They just show it all in one drawing. Also what push pin would be correct? Does anyone have correct information on this thanks in advance.
Thanks-JH
But it may not fit with the other piece on top of the cowling "tray". I'll check my truck.
60mm would be 2.36 inches. I don't see that being necessary.
Anyway, part number 3C3Z-14A099-B doesn't show up in any Ford Parts system, but 5C3Z-14A099-AA does and it has 14A000B as the base number (and looks the same).
