F350 Check Engine Light = No Throttle
I have a '94 F350 with the 7.3L diesel. It runs great and usually i have no problems with it whatsoever but recently the check engine light came on while i was a cruising speed and my throttle died. i let off the pedal for a few seconds and the light went out and my throttle came back. its started doing this once every 10-15 miles. Does this sound familiar at all to anyone and if so any suggestions?

The 7.3 DI engines are a fly by wire throttle system. No throttle cable..
Most times the Pedal Position Sensor is cause for the no response. Sometimes circuit/wire issues, but generally the failure is within the pedal assy.
If you look at the pedal assembly right above your foot you'll see the sensor assy. and idle validation switch. Its an assembly, so no indivdual parts are available. Sometimes the failure can be captured with a test for signal drop out. A lot of times they can be pretty intermittent.
If you could have the code read at a local parts house it may varify the failure.. Their pretty pricey, so you want to make sure you don't replace a good part..
