Default F350 TTB Spring Sag?

I was fortunate enough to recently pick up one of the last TTB F350s made from the early half of 85. The truck has the 6.9 diesel and the remnants of a plow frame. The other day I was looking at it and noticed how much the truck leaned forward (rear end being much higher than the front) I'm thinking about putting new front springs in so I'm curious to know the best way to figure out if my springs are toast. I figure 25 years of a 1100 lb engine and a plow could seriously sag those springs.

I measure the clearance between the bump stops and the front springs and there is only 3/4 of an inch. This seems low, what should this distance me. I plan on rebushing the whole thing and I'm not interested in getting a Dana 60 solid at this point. I'll pick up another parts truck when a find the space and time.

Thanks for any help guys.
