Frustrating wait for 2022 f350 build
I ordered a super duty back on October 2nd or 3rd and still I'm waiting for a build date here at the start of the 4th week of jan. Now I'm finding out some have waited up to 10 months for their build. This is frustrating to say the least since I gave up my 2012 f350 to the dealer and now am at the mercy of Ford. I understand there's a delay on some things like chips, 5th wheel, steering assist and bedliners. I do have a bedliner ordered but its not like i can just erase that from my order since it came with the black appearance package I ordered. I'd have to delete the black appearance from my order. That's not an option,, I already bought aftermarket wheels to match. I wish they'd let you erase the bedliner from the package but it's not possible. Very very frustrating. Has anyone else had similar issues with their 2022 build? My dealer is telling me if it delays much longer the order will be switched to a 2023 build.
I ordered my F350 King Ranch the first part of November. I just got my build date which is the first week in March. If you don't have a production date yet your dealer should be able to modify anything on the order. I think they ad BS'ing you
The problem is that the only thing it could be holding up the build is the spray in liner. It's not added to my build solo, it's added with the black appearance package so if I want to eliminate it I have to eliminate the whole package which I don't want to do.
what kind of advice is that? No, I'm not going to learn to live with it and conform to these crazy times, sorry. Please be nice enough not to respond if you don't have an intelligent response. Thank you.
There's nothing you can do about it, so stop complaining. There's enough of that going on. You don't want to conform, don't support them. .
who's complaining? I said nothing relevant to your comment. And dont support who? Ford? You brought up something that completely changed the topic of my question. Thanks for your help buddy, not.
When you're spending that kind of money you expect to get what you want. I ordered a 2021 F350 Dually in January of 2021 and was delivered in late April of last year. The chip supply issue was in full swing but was under the impression the Super Duty models were to continue in full production because of Commercial contract, government contracts and fleet contracts. I wouldn't think that has changed. I can't believe the demand has gone up 50% in a little over a year but maybe it has. Being a previous ford owner it's obvious why you're going with another one. Maybe the dealer can help you with a short term rental unit for the time being. They own one of the major rental companies but i can't think of which one. Hertz? Anyway I'm sorry you have to wait so long for your new truck.
