I have a 2002 F-350. For several months the brake lights will come on, remain on for two to four minutes and go off, all with no one in the truck. I am ancient and have had a hip replacement but still managed to replace the brake light switch. The problem still exists. Would appreciate any ideas of possible causes. Julian

 

For the benefit of the community, the problem was a sticky lever on my trailer brake controller.
