Glow Plugs..waiting to start
I have a '99 F-250 Super Duty with 7.3L Powerstroke. I have heard that some of the newer trucks (not necessarily Ford) have an ambient temp sensor that you don't have to wait to start when it is warm outside. Does anyone know if the Powerstrokes have that or do you still have to wait to start no matter what them temp is. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks!!!!
Yes it is all good to wait for the lite to go out when you first start it up. Then it shouldn't matter after the first start up. I was told this by a mechanic. I still wait for the lite to go out, thats because of habit.
