Default headlight/grille swap

i have a 2000 250 superduty and would like to update the look. i like the 2005 grille/headlight combo and need to know if compatable. i am new to superduty trucks, had a 2005 2500 hd chevy but tired of the payment. what is a cps? and should i carry a spare in the truck? thanks in advance and sorry for the dumb questions.

Default RE: headlight/grille swap

You can add the 05 headlights/grille to the earlier builds, but you'll need to change the reinforcement bar/header panel that the headlights mount to.. The 05 grille will need to be trimmed at the bottom/lower corners because of the difference in the bumpers unless its changed as well with the late equipement.. Also, the H/L connections/pigtails will need to be changed/modified for the later lights..

CPS is actually CMP.. Stands for Cam Position Sensor...The CMP's have a history of failure, and pretty easy to change... Cheap insurance to carry a replacement..
