im new to the mechanic world and yesterday i looked under the hood just to check some stuff out and noticed there was a hose not connected to anything, can someone please tell me what this is, and maybe were the hose should be? 1988 f250 lariat with a 460

anybody?

Is there any way you can point to the specific hose ?

you gotta identify what you've got there.Right now it's sorta like expecting an answer for the color green on the richter scale. What's your vehicle, year, model, etc.

I cannot tell from the pix.
Next request,,,,,,,, where does the other end of that hose go?

did this truck have factory installed cruise control?...this control is a vacuum operated control, but tell us more about it.Does it have any identification numbers stamped onto it?...

dubhandsome 02-24-2012 01:04 PM

there is only one hose, ther other hose like object is actually set up to power? or grounded, i will have to go look for the number, i bought the truck used from a mechanic, the truck does have cruise control and i have used it before, but my guess is the hose wase never coneccted at the other end the whole time i have owend it.

it could always be a breather hose!
