Default Lift Kit

Hello again,
I used to own a ranger and now i have '93 f250 2wd. I have never purchased nor I have I never been involved in anyway with a lift kit. I wanted to put a 3-4in lift kit on my truck. Everyone I talk to say the nice ones cost over a thousand. Most of the ones I have found only cost 450-800. Can someone tell me what the difference between the kits will be and how can make sure I get a good kit.

If the expensive kit has a steering column, radial arms, and extnded brake lines, than that should be PERFECT, unlless your only doin a two inch lift, then you dont need to extend anything at all.
