lift kit on Ford F250 - axle problem???
I have a 2002 Ford F-250 4X4 Diesel. A couple of years ago I had a 6" lift kit installed at Big-O Tires. Ever since then, many people who drive behind me tell me that I need an alignment. I have had the alignment checked and it is okay. Yesterday someone who was driving behind me stopped me and told me that I have a slipped axle. They said my front tires are considerably further to the left than my back tires. They said it probably happened when they installed my lift kit. Could this be true? What is a slipped axle? How is it repaired? By who? Is it dangerous? Do I need to take care of it immediately or can it wait? I have 55,000 miles on my tires and this problem has not reduced the life of my tires. I am not mechanically inclined, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

RE: lift kit on Ford F250 - axle problem???
Take it to an alignment shop and ask to get a 4 tire alignment. I suspect what they mean by slipped axle is that the rear axle is not straight. If front tire track left of rear, then right rear must be farther back then left?
