Default MAP sensor

Hello I have a 95 F350 with 7.3 diesel For a couple of weeks It has been hard to start when it sits for a couple of days. It would start if I let it set for a while and try it again but now I can't get it to start at all. While looking for possible or obvious problems I noticed that the MAP sensor had a crack in the black epoxy. Could that be my problem or at least part of it?

Could be a glow plug relay issue as well, easy check for that would be to cycle the key on until the wait to start light goes out, then cycle off and back on to see if it starts easier then. Crack in MAP sensor may or may not cause this concern, most likely would causw lack of power due to incorrect reading while driving.

you need to replace the map /baro sensor for sure thats used to tell p.c.m how long to turn the glow plugs on i would also replace the glow plug relay that might be it if that relay doesn't activate the car may not start and if it does startthere will be alot of white smoke do that and tell me what happens and i'll advise you what to do next .

Thanks for the help. I have ordered a new MAP sensor. And I have the truck running. The reason the truck wouldn't start was because one of my new batteries was bad. Got a new battery and it started right up. Thanks again.
