Need help with rotor removal and front dif ID help needed
Hi,
I have a 1978 Ford F250 4x4. I am trying to get tor front rotors off but they are stuck. Before I do something stupid, I figured I'd ask. First the truck does not have its original VIN. I guess it had been removed and replaced by California so the bull**** VIN they assigned to it means nothing to anyone ir regards to parts. Second, I do not see a tag on the front diff anywhere. I have pulled everything out of the hub and cleaned a ton of old grease out as well. It appears to me and someone else who eyeballed it to only have the inner bearing left in it. The rotor wobbles but darn if it won't come out. It almost feels like I'd have to use a puller on this or a slide hammer or something. But I'd rather not blindly gorilla this thing off just yet. I have been told this is a Dana 60, but that's as far as I have gotten. I do not see any other front ends with this style of secondary lock thing-a-majig bolted to the hub itself. I just can't move ahead here, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
