Default New into trucks, need help

I’m looking at buying a 1982 Ford F-250, it has 31,000 miles on it with a 5.8L 351 V8 engine. It has a three speed automatic transmission, he’s selling it for 5,000 and I was wondering if it is worth it. Any advice would be welcome.

Welcome to the site..

Is it a 4x4?, what cab config-Super,Crew or Std?
It would be rare to find that vintage of a truck at 31k on the clock and would make it more desirable and unique.
With that,, if it were extremely clean inside and out, no running or any concerns, it may command a higher price, but 5k to me seems a bit high.
My 0.2, it would boil down to if that vintage/style was what I wanted, and what visually was in front me, how it ran and drove, and it was in need off nothing. Services records included ? Everything is caught up ?

Any images of it available?

Default The is for the responce

I’m not quite sure how to upload pictures, it was previously owned by a fire department and isn’t in horrible condition but definitely needs some work. There is what I believe to be small amounts of rust just from being used, the bench seat has a small tear in it and the front grill is missing but that’s about it. I’m trying to get the city to send over a record of the maintenance that was done to the truck. I’m currently not home so I’m having a trusted friend go check it out for me.
