Default Passenger Mirror

On my 2012 F250, the top passenger side mirror drops down and I lose the viewing area if the door is closed hard or I hit a rut. I have to remotely reset the mirror to see to the rear on the right side. How do I tighten?

There are little motors within the mirror assy that position the mirror according to how the driver chooses. Sometimes the drive assy for a certain positioning can strip out and usually the only option is to replace the entire assy.

Slybus, you could always ask our member Kyle Jackson , a Ford parts expert from Lakeland Ford, any questions regarding any parts . He has been extremely helpful to a lot of folks here.

Thanks Hanky, I really appreciate that!

Slybus,

I have some bad news regarding the mirror. Some Ford mirrors allow sale of the motor itself, which is what sounds like the issue here, but the mirror for the 2012 Super Duty is not sold that way. The mirror is sold as an entire unit which is quite expensive. If you can PM your VIN number I would be happy to find the correct mirror for the vehicle.
