Default Question on towing capacity

We are looking to upgrade from our F250 to a F350. We need to pull a 5th wheel with a GVWR of 13995 lbs. From what we are finding on the internet it seems not all F350 can tow this much. Ideally, we wanted a gas instead of diesel. Can anyone advise of what we need to be looking for to make sure we buy a F350 that can tow this much? Thank you.

Welcome to the site

Upgrading to new? or what years are you considering?
What Cab/bed profile.. STD, SC, Crew?. 4x2 or 4x4?
Whats your 5th hitch weight with the trailer loaded?
Being 5th wheel, hitch weight/load as 'payload' including passengers/gear come into play. Any add ons as well. As would gas/diesel for weight differences. Diesel will yield the most HP/TQ and the 6.7 is a towing beast.
Axle ratios, springs ratings (tow packages), engine weights/output, fuel weight, W/B and cab profile etc will have a significant affect of ratings.
At near 14k with it loaded (?), unless the hitch weight exceeds payload rating taking into account and factoring in for truck loading, It shouldn't exceed GCWR. .

My 17 F250 has a 10k GVWR,, curb weight probably about 7500, and a GCWR of 25700,, if it were a 350 it would be 28700 GCWR. So, even my 250 would have no issue pulling 14k, depending on all other loading limits...
