Default Steering ?

On my 97' f250 I've heard the the set screw on top of the steering gear box will cut down on some play? Is this true cause sometimes my turn signals don't want to stay on?

that is true but it doesn't have anything to do with the turn signals

once you have the lock nut loosened you turn it clockwise but just enough to take out the play in the steering wheel. the turn signals will only stay on if the steering wheel is straight and will cancel themselves as you straiten the steering wheel after going around a corner. if the truck pulls to one side or the other and you have to turn the steering wheel just to keep it in line then you might have the alignment checked and replace a few parts to get it to drive normally. keep in mind that you may not have a problem with the steering or the alignment it could and usually is the road that we drive on. all vehicles a want to drift one way or the other due to the wear of the road
