Default Stolen F350 Gets New Steering Column

So about a month ago my fathers work truck (a 2004 F350 Super Duty with the 5.4 triton) was stolen very early in the morning. The guys crashed into our van as they were speeding off and I immediately woke up. Long story short there were a couple guys scouting the neighborhood for catalytic converters to steal. When they came across the unlocked worked truck I guess they saw their pot o gold. The truck was found the next day abandoned in the ghetto stripped of its cats, tires blown out, and a couple missing tools. Got the truck flat bedded back to the house to asess the damage.

The whole steering column was f***d. It was already loosie goosy and shifting into different gears was a pain before it was stolen. Now the ignition was completely missing/busted. I decided to just get a whole new steering column with a new key/ignition combo. Got something off ebay for about $200. Didn't come with a steering wheel and a couple other things but everything that was missing I could transfer over from the old column.

I just got done putting everything back together, and I am having one issue. There is a yellow wire loom that comes from under the dash and connects to the back of steering wheel/clockspring. On my yellow loom there is one black/red striped wire that splits off by itself and has a piece of black plastic that looks chipped and broken. This is something that was broken when they stole the car. I can't tell what it is supposed to connect to, or maybe it was a part of the old ignition tumbler. It looks like it almost slots into a groove of the same shape on the ignition itself. See pics. Everything else was a perfect plug and play match except for this one wire. I would think its the ignition power wire but I'm not sure. When I put the key in and turn the ignition I don't get any juice to the dash or anything. What exactly needs to be replaced/fixed here. I can't tell exactly where this wire/connection is supposed to go to. Someone please help!!

Images attached below.

Here is a list of all the things I had to do/change.
- The new turn signal had different plugs compared to the old one so I put the old one back on
- The metal bracket at the end of the steering column that has the little nub to connect some linkage was on the opposite side on the new column, so I swapped the old one on.
