Default v 10

if anyone could help i would certainly be grateful. have a 98 v10 that was claimed to be locked up. i took a pull handle on the balancer & moved it numerous times both ways and then crunk it. it ran about 2 seconds and shut off. when i hit the key again it spun just like there wasn't a spark plug in it. my guess here is it may have been in a bind with the timing chain around the housing until i moved it both ways and then it fell back down for the engine to fire, then it completely jumped time. thats the only thing i know of that would bleed every cylinder @ one time. any help or comments please!
