Have a 99 f250 w/ a v10. Thought I had blown out a spark plug but can't find the plug or plug hole. What came out of the hole that was there was a boot that looked like a spark plug boot w/ a spring and a thermocouple looking thing. There is one over each cylinder. Exhauste monitoring?

The triton is a COP (coil on plug) engine with individual coils on the top of the plugs.. Plug is or should be at the bottom of the well..

 

I had the same problem with mine the plug is either in the bottom of the well or blew out i would reccomend changing the coil pack when you change the plug
