I recently purchased an '05 Five Hundred Limited, what a great vehicle! I previously owned a '98 Taurus SE which lasted me 10 years and went 184K. The Five Hundred is another world altogether in ride and comfort. The stereo sounds pretty awesome but there's one little quirk about the CD player that really bugs me: if you're playing a CD that has tracks that flow together without any gap in between (ex. Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon), the player on these stereos automatically insert a short gap between the tracks. Anyone know why this was designed this way and if it's been corrected in later models?
