Default front end noises

I have a 2005 Montego Premier( Ford 500) FWD 6 speed auto. When the steering wheel is turned going either forward or backward at low speed I get a "groaning" almost squeaking sound from the front of the car. As the car ages it is getting louder and louder (now @60K)
Anyone have something like this or point me to a diagnosis?
Tim

Just guessing, but...sounds like "Ball-Joint Groan". Fords tend to groan when the ball-joints are going due to the loss of lube and wear.
