Heated Mirror Wiring
Looking at a clean used 07 Five Hundred -- doesn't have heated mirrors.
Question that the dealer parts dept can't seem to answer: Are the wiring harnesses the same for the models with and without the heated mirror/puddle light option? then a person could swap out the mirrors themselves (regular unheated for heated - looks like they would just snap in and out), connect the heater circuit wires and it's good to go (mirrors heat when the rear window defogger is on).
And the bottom of the mirror shell has space for the puddle lights - buy the socket, lens and buld; snap it in and go --
My '97 Taurus didn't come with the keyless entry option, but the car was wired for it -- just bought the module and 'clickers', plugged it in --
The parts people didn't seem to know one way or the other -- any accurate/factual info would be appreciated.
Thanks

All you need are the dash harness and the mirrors for the most part. I'm not sure if they all had them in every harness - but if your harness has the connectors to each door you're one step closer.
