Default 2001 Focus Speakers

New Owner of a Ford Focus 2001 (mk1 I believe)

Installed a new head unit and noticed above a certain volume it goes all cracked.

Was looking at some new speakers (Rockford Fosgate R168X2 6"x8")

to replace the stock ones, would anyone know if these would fit in without a hitch ?

TIA

Most Fords of that era used 5x7 speakers. A 6X8 might require an adapter, maybe not. I would go to Crutchfield's web site which is packed with useful information. You can get adapter cables for your new speakers so you will not have to cut any wires to connect.
