I've been using one of those things that deadens a station (a bit) in order to play an ipod through. But my focus skips dead stations when i try to tune to one. This ends up causing static to cut in and out of my music, cos the station i've chosen isn't completely dead (it's just the closest my radio will tune to without skipping).

can someone help me figure out how to tune to a dead station?
