Default 2017 Ford Focus Radio Issues

I have a 2017 Ford Focus and the Radio will constantly stay muted. I click on un-mute and it highlights it and click to turn it off but nothing happens. Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried the button on the steering wheel as well?
Can you change the source to AM/FM/USB/Aux/Sync?
Does the increase/decrease volume buttons register when used?

I can change the source to am/gm/usb/sync.

You can increase and decrease the volume and you see it go up and down.

Turn the radio on, set to a FM station, hold the skip forward & CD eject buttons down for a few second (dont remember how long), this should do a walk around test and set you into audio diagnostics.
During walk around test each individual speaker should emit a sound one at a time, I think there is a system test in audio diagnostics you could do but I am unsure of where it is located in the menu.
Can you do a sync update? that reprograms part of the APIM, you would have to ask someone else how to do that from home though.

Otherwise you can have a dealer run a on demand test on the ACM and APIM. We see a lot of weird issues with APIMs.
