Default RE: BIG QUESTION!!!!

OK, to clear things up ZETEC is just a name for our motor. It's nothing like VTEC or any kind of variable valve timing. The Zetec motor is just a plain four cylinder engine. On the SVT, the motor is a little modified. It has a dual stage intake manifold and I'm pretty sure different internals. I think the compression ratio is bumped up too. The SVT motor also has a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold. A much improvement over the stock zetec exhaust manifold. As far as mating the 6 Speed tranny from an SVT to a ZX2, I don't know if you can do it. However, I'm pretty sure it can be done with some fabrication. If you go to focaljet.com, I think there was a discussion about it sometime ago. Just sign up to the forum and do a search. You mine as well try to find an SVT focus motor or the Contour SVT motor and research on doing a swap. Otherwise you can go the forced induction route. Hope this helps and keep us updated on your mods!
