I haven't posted much but we are in a huge delimma and I would like to see if anyone has thoughts. We own a 2016 Ford Focus hatch back SE with cold weather package and have had 2 power shift transmission clutches replaced so far. We are aware of the lawsuit but not sure what our next steps should be. Just was wondering if anyone else is dealing with this issue currently?? Would love to hear thoughts

 

We're in the same boat. Just spent over $2G to get it fixed again on our 2012 Titanium. Not sure if we should keep it after spending the money to get something back for the expenditure, but then just learned about the lawsuit. Wish we'd heard about it before the deadlines started expiring. We'd tried to get Ford to buy the car back a couple years ago but they said they'd finally fixed it (and we believed them) and even expanded the warranty, but apparently not for the parts that tend to break.

 

We should be able to get Ford to replace this transmission with a newer one, something they can make for the newer models that will fit into the cars with bad transmissions.

 

i am curious how do you get dealer to repair without charging me a 165 dollar flash of computer every time

 

If your vehicle is a 2013 model year, that makes it at least 7 years old.
What kind of routine maintenance has it received?
How about a little more info ?
