remote locking

remote locking
Hi, can anyone offer any advice.
I have a focus 51 plate 1.8 zetec.
Car will not lock with remote,locks then immediately opens again,it will open with remote after locking with key.Tried all the obvious,battery etc but no good.Is it down to expensive garage investigation.
