Default Sunroof won't function

In my 2002 Ford Focus sedan, the sunroof doesn't function at all, when i press the buttons, nothing happens. Now at least i can be thankful its broken in the closed position, but i wonder what is the problem, its not a fuse. Is there any component in particular that tends to fail causing this, or is it a tossup?

I would suggest in this instance that you get yourself a voltage meter. You have checked the fuse that is fine. So It is more than likely a bad earth or motor. Check to see your exact model here and then find out where the motor is located. remove the cover and check there is current coming in. If there is you have a dodgy motor. Very expensive, I'd look at a scrap merchant for a replacement to be honest.
