1995 ford f150 wont start
 
I need help i have a 95 ford f150 5.8 it staryed running a lil rough then got worse was throwing a black soot out the exhaust well shut it off the other day now it wont start i need help its getting fuel and will crank but no start

I'm pretty sure the fuel pressure regulator is located on the driver's side rear of the engine. It is attached to the fuel rail. There is a vacuum hose attached to the top of it.
If you remove that hose you might see gasoline coming out of it . If so, that is the problem. The internal diaphram has ruptured and it needs to be replaced. The hose is connected to manifold vacuum and the leaking gas is most likely causing the over fuel condition.Held in place with allen head screws.oy may need to remove one or two spark plugs to allow them to dry so they can ignite the extra gas in the cyls. Thanks this truck is my baby this is the first issue i have had and ive had quite a few of these trucks nver had this issue i will get back to you guys.

I changed the fuel pressure regulater and done my plugs it fixed it fired up and ran like a champ thanks yall im sure ill be asking more questions cuz im slowly rebuilding my truck
