Default Blow'n smoke

I'm actually an old subscriber but forgot my log in so I had to create a new account. Anyway, I recently purchased a 2008 f250 super duty with the 6.4l, with 185,xxx miles. Today it did something I have not seen, or heard of these doing. As I was driving on the interstate approximately 60 mph, I glances over to the right hand mirror and noticed smoke blowing from the exhaust. It was a blue-ish smoke more like oil than diesel. I throttled it up a little, the smoke increased, then quit. Can anyone tell me what this is about? Is this normal?
