I'm really curious as to an answer to my question? I have bought several new Ford's over the years but why in GOD's name would a company desperate for sales, make their only vehicular that gets more than 40 mpg not available in the USA. SCREW Calif. and all the green states, they are only 20% of your potential market. Why after closing down multiple plants, hasn't the CLUELESS Ford management (& board) retooled and re-opend an diesle engine plant in the US to take advantage of this design? Instead of in ENGLAND, where ther are higher labor costs? You proved with this design, that your engineers can bring REAL fuel efficient card to the market. I'd buy one of the damed things, if it was avaible for a compeitive price. When is the FORD management going to that we won't buy any old thing anymore. Now I guess I'll have to buy Japaneese, since FORD doen't really understand (or care about) the new economic realities in the world. Too bad about the upcoming bankupcy[>:].
