Smile Heater Hose Replace

Hi peoples,

l have a 1993, ED, 4lTR, Ford GLi, 6 cyl, EFI,
l have just noticed that the small heater hose that is located under and in between the intake manifold and engine block is leaking water onto the distributer and causing misfiring - looking at where the hose joins the "Y" tube fitting it looks as though it may have had its day.
Car has just cloked up 270K klm's.

Question:
Do l really have to remove the intake manifold to replace the heater hose.
(if l had real small hands it would be great)

If you can get a piece of silicone hose the size you require , should flex and slip over the ends without too much trouble.
