I have a 94 Bronco with a 351 in it. The starter was acting up so I replaced it with a new one. The new one burned up and killed the battery. Did some checks and the starter relay was working okay and the voltage dropped out when the key was released from the start position. Checked the flywheel and it appeared worn so I replaced that. Still have the same problem the starter gear does not disengage while the engine runs causing the starter to overheat from spinning at the engine RPM.

Any suggestions would be helpful
