Thread display order

How do I force it to stop showing oldest first? I want to see the newest without having to click the column header every time. Thanks.

The default is setup as a descending sort.

Checking what I see, it's correct. They've jacked up the site a few times and it had to be corrected by Admin. but looks to be correct...

I'm sorry for not being clearer. I meant the threads in a particular forum not the posts in a particular thread.
